STP Niš Strengthens Regional Cooperation through the S4AI Hub at the Western Balkans Digital Summit 2025 in Skopje
At the recently held Western Balkans Digital Summit 2025 in Skopje, the Science and Technology Park Niš, as the coordinator of the Serbian European Digital Innovation Hub for Artificial Intelligence (S4AI Hub), actively participated in a series of significant regional events dedicated to digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence. These gatherings brought together representatives of the EDIH network, governments, and innovation ecosystems from across the region, with the common goal of accelerating the digitalization process, increasing competitiveness and strengthening cooperation within the Digital Europe program.
As part of the workshop organized by INNOFEIT, on behalf of S4AI Hub, together with six officially recognized EDIHs from the Western Balkan region, the Science and Technology Park Nis signed a Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding. This document formalized cooperation at the regional level and established the foundations for joint activities aimed at strengthening institutional capacities, improving the development of innovation ecosystems, facilitating access to European funds and aligning efforts in the field of digital transformation within the network of EDIHs of the Western Balkans.
By signing this agreement, STP Niš confirmed its position as a regional leader in the promotion of innovations based on artificial intelligence and digital transformation. “This agreement reflects our common ambition to turn dialogue into practical cooperation and position the Western Balkans as an integrated and innovation-ready region,” said Ivan Pavlović, S4AI Hub coordinator and representative of STP Niš.
With a growing network of partners and expertise in the field of advanced technologies, STP Niš, through the S4AI Hub, continues to empower small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, and innovation actors to adopt modern digital solutions, consolidating its role as one of the key pillars of the digital transformation of the Western Balkans.
