S4AI_HUB at the 10th Forum of Advanced Technologies
How can companies identify where digital transformation is most needed, which skills they will require to adopt artificial intelligence, and how can they secure funding to introduce new technologies? These questions were at the heart of S4AI_HUB’s participation in the 10th Forum of Advanced Technologies, held on 16–17 September 2026 at the Science and Technology Park Niš, under the theme “TechIntelligence: Transforming Industry for the Intelligent Age”.
Discussions on digital transformation explored the journey from assessing a company’s needs and digital maturity to planning concrete changes. This was complemented by a focus on developing the competencies required to adopt artificial intelligence, including AI literacy, data skills and continuous learning. These challenges were central to the panel “AI & Future Skills: Building Competencies for the AI Era”, which explored how companies and their employees can prepare for the increasingly widespread adoption of new technologies.
Planning digital transformation also raises important financial questions. The panel “Financing Digital Transformation: The Role of Banks and the State” examined the role of banks, government institutions and support programmes in financing technological change, while “How to Finance Your Transformation Roadmap” focused on investment planning, assessing expected returns and combining internal resources with external capital. Together, these discussions highlighted different ways companies can approach financing in line with their needs and development goals.
Another important aspect of digital transformation is moving from an idea to a solution that works in practice. The panel “From Pilot to Implementation: How to Make Innovation Work in a Company” addressed how companies can move pilot projects into everyday operations, integrate new technologies into existing processes and achieve measurable business results.
From assessing digital maturity and developing AI skills to financing and planning investments, and ultimately implementing innovations in day-to-day operations, the panels covered a range of challenges companies face throughout their digital transformation journey. The discussions brought together the perspectives of companies, experts and institutions, highlighting the importance of understanding business needs, developing employee skills, accessing funding opportunities and defining clear steps for implementation. These topics are also central to S4AI_HUB’s work and its support for companies throughout their digital transformation journey.
