Open Call for Testing Digital and AI Solutions Before Investment under the S4AI_HUB Project

As part of the S4AI_HUB – Serbian European Digital Innovation Hub on AI project, a public call has been launched for the Test Before Invest (TBI) service, aimed at companies and startups seeking to assess the applicability, technical feasibility, and potential benefits of digital technologies and artificial intelligence-based solutions before making further investment decisions.

The call represents a continuation of support for beneficiaries who have successfully completed the previous phase of the S4AI_HUB programme.

What Does Test Before Invest Offer?

The TBI service enables companies to test digital and AI solutions in laboratory, simulated, controlled, or real-world environments, with the support of experts and access to relevant technological infrastructure.

The support is provided through two service lines:

  • Testing existing digital solutions before investment – assessing the applicability, functionality, and expected impact of existing technologies in specific business or production environments.
  • Development and validation of new products and solutions – testing the technical feasibility, functionality, and usability of prototypes, Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and innovative digital solutions.

Through the TBI process, beneficiaries gain access to expert support, relevant laboratories and testing infrastructure, as well as a report on testing results and recommendations for further implementation or technology development.

Who Can Apply?

This is a restricted call, intended for beneficiaries who have successfully completed the previous phase of the S4AI_HUB support programme and received a TBI voucher.

Eligible applicants include micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), small mid-cap companies, as well as startups and innovative teams that meet the programme requirements.

Proposed projects must address a clearly defined technological or business challenge and have reached at least Technology Readiness Level 4 (TRL 4).

Duration and Value of Support

TBI support is tailored to the specific needs of each beneficiary and is expected to last approximately 3 to 6 months.

The service is provided free of charge to selected beneficiaries, subject to available project resources and applicable funding and State aid rules.
